Forget the Spire.... these are the true landmarks of Dublin's skyline. The Poolbeg chimneys.
This was taken from Sandymount beach today (11th Apil 09) on a beautiful Saturday afternoon.
I exported to Photoshop to fix some stitching issues and then into lightroom to modify the colours and tones. I think the change to black and white makes it much more dramatic with the cloudy sky.

I had the same problems , after adjusting tray/arm BACK to 0 (I am using a Canon Powershot 9) it is going fine now. The only software handling the Gigapan properly is the Gigapan software (but it takes a long time). Photoshop CS3 and PTGUI Pro are a waste of time. In PTgui I had to manually adjust coordinates for 160 shots, a bit much for the stomach). Autopan did not work with me either. There is a Gigapan forum as I understand. Anyway, never give up is the slogan.

Thanks for the feedback Pano. To be honest, this was as far as I could zoom, they only way i could have got more detail would have been to put on a pair of wellies and wade further out onto the wet beach :) I spaces the horizon at around 10% to make sure of plenty of overlap. I took a full 360 panorama too but the gigapan stitcher just cannot stitch it. It's messed up every time. Currently working on a test using autopano. thanks again for the feedback. Dave

I like the photograph, I have a little comment because I use the same system: take more pictures (zoom in more) you need maybe 240 pictures to make a more detailed pano. Anyway, I like the YouTube thing (and the picture) so there is not a lot to comment realy. Well done.
